Battling Heart Disease the Natural Way - Ajit Patel Goldshield
Heart disease is one of the western world’s most chronic illnesses, and in the United States it is responsible for more deaths that any other illness. However, despite its severity, the chances of getting heart disease can be significantly reduced through a combination of regular exercise, a healthy and balanced-diet, and physical disciplines such as yoga and meditation.
Regular exercise is essential to maintaining a healthy heart as the heart is a muscle, and like all muscles it needs exercise to ensure it can function properly and not become overburdened with strains and stresses. Muscular tension increases with stress, and both yoga and meditation can be used as an effective and fast means of de-stressing. However, in today’s increasingly, fast-paced world, it is often difficult to commit to these kind of disciplines regularly, so if you find it tricky, alternatives such as gardening, listening to music or whatever you find relaxing can be beneficial.
Also, eating a large amount of healthy and natural foods can halt the onset of heart problems, which can often be best achieved by having a vegetarian diet, or at least a diet with a high fruit and vegetable consumption. Whilst, protein is also important for a healthy-diet, it can be found in many forms such as nuts, seeds, certain fruits and vegetables and fish. Whilst most meats have an abundant source of protein, meats are difficult for the body to break down and digest and can lead to processes that encourage the on-set of heart disease.
Using herbs can also be highly beneficial and many have properties that can help to lower blood pressure and reduce cholesterol levels. These include: garlic, onions, red peppers, rosemary, grapes, ginger and chicory and one of the great things about all of them is that they can be added to your diet with a minimum of effort and fuss.
