Why Acupuncture works for Back-ache? - Ajit Patel Goldshield

An extremely common ailment for many people is back-ache, and despite being a very common source of physical distress, it can be difficult to find effective remedies for it. Back-aches can affect people in a variety of ways, making the simplest tasks a painful ordeal and physical challenge.
For many, particularly athletes and sports-people, acupuncture has become a highly-regarded and much trusted option for back-pain relief, and has a history that goes back thousands of years as a treatment used to help the body recover from a variety of physical conditions. In recent years, it has also been re-evaluated by the medical community as a therapy that can produce good results. For instance, in 1997, data from a clinical trial undertaken in Germany, found that within a sample of 1,000 back-pain sufferers, acupuncture improved lower back pain for a period of up to 6 months – twice the amount of time produced by more conventional based treatments. By 2010, several other favourable reports led to acupuncture being officially recognised by the World Health Organisation as an official, medically prescribed form of treating back-pain which has hugely boosted the credibility of the practice. Indeed, many people who use acupuncture as a form of physical therapy attest to its consistently positive impact on their wellbeing and quality of life, such as improved mood, stress-relief, improved sleep patterns, body flexibility and increased resistance to back related traumas.
One of its other great advantages is its lack of side-effects. As acupuncture does not require the use of manufactured medicines to be effective, the body does not become exposed to any toxins, which has to be a good thing!
